People who need to release negativity . . .

Today I pray for people (including me) who need to release negativity. Too often we allow the issues of the world, other people and even ourselves to send us to a cycle of negativity, blame shifting, and frustration. Instead of taking responsibility to resolve the negativity, it so much easier to simply cosign and gossip about how bad something or someone is. Yet, in doing so, we only feed the problem and find ourselves drained, tired, and disheartened. As children of God, we are called to joy (John 15:11) and peace (John 16:33). Therefore, we must put aside every weight attitude, mindset, relationship, situation, and sin that so easily entangles us (keeps us down, frustrated and drained), and let us run with perseverance the race set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrew 12:1-2 paraphrase). Check out the negativity challenge posted by Ignited Hope Ministries here.

Therefore, today I pray for people who need to release negativity. I pray that we will be adamant about transforming our minds by Your word. Help us to lean not to our own understanding but to seek to acknowledge You in all our ways. Help us not to look at others as people do but to look at the heart. Father, I pray that You remove bitterness and break down the hardness of our hearts and help us to have Your joy, unspeakable joy. Father forgive us for gossip, slander, strife, envy, jealousy, and any other ill attitudes towards others or even ourselves. Help us to see and love people as You love them. While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us, even when we were Your enemies. Help us to not only love in word but in deed also. Help us to pray for them who despitefully use and mistreat us without being rude or behaving contrary to Your nature. Father, we ask You to help us put away everything weight of negativity and lying that so easily entangles us so that we can walk and run in the path of our purpose.  We call out to You today for help. We love you dearly and ask these things in Jesus Name. Amen
